What we do

Demolition and clearing

House teardowns, plus whatever else is on the lot. We run an excavator with a qualified operator. Clean concrete and block get separated from the mixed debris, which holds the disposal cost down. The lot is backfilled and graded before we leave.

  • Full house teardown, slab or crawlspace
  • Garages, sheds and outbuildings
  • Mobile and manufactured homes
  • Pools, demo or engineered fill
  • Lot clearing, tree felling and grapple load-out
  • Interior strip-out for remodels

Concrete and flatwork

Most driveway jobs take two contractors. One to break the old slab out and haul it off, one to pour the new one. We do both under one contract.

  • Driveway removal and replacement
  • Aprons, sidewalks and walkways
  • Patios and pool decks
  • Slabs on grade, footings and stem wall
  • Equipment and air conditioner pads
Photo needed A driveway, before and after. Same camera position both times.

Structural shell

Footers, slab, block and frame as one package. For builders this is usually where the schedule slips, so we price it and run it together rather than as three separate subs.

  • Footers, stem wall and monolithic slab
  • CMU block, cell fill and tie beam
  • Framing, sheathing and dry-in
  • Trusses bought direct from the manufacturer

How we price a teardown

We quote three ways, depending on how much we have been able to verify. We tell you which one you are getting.

What you asked forWhat it takesWhat you can do with it
Budget range Address and parcel records Budgeting only. Not a fixed price.
Verified takeoff Survey or plans, measured and checked by a person Solid enough to underwrite a deal.
Bid-ready price Site walk: dimensions, foundation, access, contents, utilities A fixed price, with the scope and exclusions written out.

We will not give a fixed price off an address alone. Foundation type, slab thickness, access width and whatever is still inside the house all move the number. None of it is visible from the street.

Most of the cost is hauling

We count loads by stream: clean concrete and block, mixed construction debris, metal and appliances, vegetation. Container counts run off whichever is greater, the volume or the legal weight limit. Square footage is only a check against the total.

Before we start

We schedule backward from these. Most are required by the county or the state, and skipping one is how a job gets red-tagged.

  1. Signed proposal and deposit. Forty percent clears before we book a machine, an operator or containers.
  2. Permit issued, notice of commencement recorded. The inspection clock runs off the recording date.
  3. Asbestos survey done, state notification filed. This one sets the start date more often than the permit does.
  4. Power, water and sewer disconnected and capped. With the paperwork in hand.
  5. Valid Sunshine 811 ticket, all locates returned. Private lines need their own locator.
  6. Silt fence and construction entrance installed.
  7. We call it done at final grade and inspection.
